Pathology Technician
This role involves performing technical anatomical pathology laboratory work, requiring the application of conventional practices, methods and standards. The successful candidate will perform routine and specialized procedures on a range of specimens and prepare specimens for examination, diagnosis and additional procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform histology and cytology technical principles and practices, including specimen preparation for examinations.
* Apply knowledge of laboratory safety requirements and procedures, including the safe handling and storage of chemicals.
* Demonstrate sound interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members.
Requirements:
* Associate Diploma from a recognized tertiary institution or an equivalent qualification appropriate to the nature of the work.
* Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role.
Benefits:
* Permanent part time, day worker position, working 53.2 hours per fortnight.
* Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum pro rata.
* 12% superannuation contribution on top of salary.
