This company is the Facility Services/Property Maintenance division of a wider group. The group is a multi-faceted construction company, with offices spanning several States. The business is made up of 3 main sectors – Insurance Repairs, Facility Services & General Construction.
This team provides a similar offering as the insurance repairs service, but on an ongoing basis. As a part of this service, they provide maintenance, structural upgrades, construction services and facility upgrades as well as reactive response repairs. With a strategic growth phase underway to grow this business unit, we're looking to find a driven, high-performing, motivated Operations Manager to join the team.
The Role Oversee delivery of hard & soft FM services across client sites (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, etc.) Lead, schedule, and manage internal team and external contractors to ensure efficient, high-quality service Ensure all maintenance works are delivered in line with SLAs, KPIs, and compliance standards Build operational systems from the ground up – including job management, compliance tracking, asset registers, and preventative maintenance scheduling Work closely with clients to build relationships, understand requirements, and provide technical solutions Collaborate with the Group leadership and BD team to support the mobilisation of new contracts Manage quoting, scoping, and project planning for reactive and preventative maintenance works Ensure strict compliance with safety legislation, building codes, and statutory maintenance obligations Drive workforce planning, including hiring, rostering, and resource allocation Excellent management of utilization rates & productivity levels Implement reporting structures to monitor financial performance, contract delivery, and risk Promote a safety-first, performance-driven, and customer-focused culture across the ops team Contribute to the strategic growth of the business, including national service delivery models and scalable systems The Person Proven experience in an Operations Management role within a similar Facilities Services/ Property Maintenance business - essential Technical trade background (e.g. electrical, HVAC, or mechanical) desirable, not essential A strong network across the FM sector within SE QLD - Essential Experience leading multi-site service delivery teams, subcontractors, and field technicians Strong knowledge of preventative and reactive maintenance planning, statutory compliance, and asset management Proven experience building or improving operational systems, especially in a growing or newly launched business Familiarity with WHS legislation, essential services compliance (e.g. AS1851), and risk mitigation Commercial acumen with exposure to P&L, quoting, project cost control, and contract reporting Experience implementing job management software Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills – confident in solving issues and building trust Comfortable operating in a high-growth, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities The Package Immediate interview and start June 2nd Salary fully negotiable upon skillset/experience – We are looking for a high performer!
