The Opportunity
We are seeking a Construction Supervisor to join our team in working across the Colac region and surrounds on a full-time, on‐going basis. As a Construction Supervisor, your primary focus is to manage a portfolio of home builds from site start through to the final inspection and maintenance stage. Reporting to the Regional Building Manager, some key accountabilities of this role include:
* Coordinate and manage trades, establish a reliable trade base
* Build strong and ongoing working relationships with clients, trades and key stakeholders
* Ensure correct building practices and procedures are adhered to at all times
* Ensure quality homes are built within set time frames and budgeted guidelines
* Enforce and adhere to OH&S regulations
* Day to day management of trades on site, suppliers, completion of paperwork and other admin tasks
* Weekly KPI reporting
Who You Are
Ideally, we're looking for someone who has:
* Experience supervising residential home builds, residential construction experience and/or a strong trade background (but more importantly, an eagerness to learn and be a part of a cohesive team)
* A thorough understanding of Australian building regulations, WHSE regulations and Quality Assurance (QA) systems (mandatory)
* Have completed the General Construction Induction Course/White Card (mandatory)
* Hold a valid driver's licence (mandatory)
* Solid project management skills, including experience in managing and developing a trade network
* Able to effectively communicate with a diverse customer group, including what it means to deliver excellent customer service
* And just as importantly, an eagerness to learn and be a part of a supportive team.
