Responsibilities
As the Psychologist / Clinical Psychologist / Social Worker (level 3) in the Kids Hub team, you will provide psychosocial assessment and therapeutic intervention to children up to the age of 12 years. You will work in a large multidisciplinary team of medical, nursing and allied health clinicians, as well as other support positions.
The Kids Hub service prioritises referrals for vulnerable families, therefore the intervention approach requires the child to be seen within the context of the family and their social support structures. The role will require family and child‐focused therapeutic interventions, with an emphasis on attachment, parent‐child relationship and parenting capacity to meet the emotional needs of their child. A range of therapeutic approaches will be required for caseload, including: provision of psychoeducation, working directly with children or their parents/carers, family therapy work, group work and telehealth service provision.
The Kids Hub service is part of a nation‐wide roll‐out of Kids Hubs jointly funded by NSW Health and the Australian Government to provide early intervention mental health and wellbeing support for children up to the age of 12 years.
