The Major Client Group and Commercial Banking Risk team provides specialist credit risk management support, advice and decisioning for the Major Client Group (MCG) and Commercial Banking (CB) teams within CBA Business Banking. We are a national team, co‐located in each of the major Australian capital cities with the origination and client management teams that we support.
We work closely with our Business Banking colleagues including direct connection with external customers to ensure the development of a thorough understanding of their businesses. This collaborative operating model must be balanced with the need to provide independent risk assessment. With Business Banking having a strong growth mandate, it can be a high‐pressure environment. You must be able to work efficiently, be willing to back your own judgement and, when appropriate, effectively and constructively challenge the business.
Additionally, you will be given the opportunity to contribute toward key strategic initiatives for Risk Management and Business Banking, focused on refining industry‐level appetite settings and creating efficiencies in the end‐to‐end lending process.
We're interested in hearing from people who have:
* Graduate or a post‐graduate degree in business, finance or a related field.
* Experience in a credit risk management position, with a proven ability to provide sound, commercial and consistent risk decisions that are in the customers' best interest.
* An ability to work autonomously and with absolute integrity.
* Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills; you must be able to influence at a range of levels within the organisation and across both Business and Risk Teams. This includes representing transactions and appetite / strategy papers at various risk committees and forums.
* Experience exercising a personal delegation of $15m or more.
