**The Role**
Within the Business Support function, the APS 5 Business Support Officer is accountable to the Branch Business Manager under broad direction to perform and achieve recruitment, workforce-planning current - futures and business support to APS 6 Finance and Business Managers. They will require an in-depth knowledge of workforce and recruitment frameworks and business acumen within Defence, its mission and policy requirements.
This role requires the occupants to have the following capabilities:
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate, manage and report on activities.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills to logically convey thoughts and ideas.
- Keen sense of attention for detail encompassing a methodological approach.
- Demonstrated capability to achieve effective outcomes with little guidance.
- Strong skill sets in analysing, synthesising, presenting logical reporting, and present associated recruitment documentation for promotions, on boarding and advice for approval.
- Experience in business support environments (models, tools, financial packages) is desirable.
- Ability to work in a fluid environment, remaining flexible, agile and adaptable supporting colleagues at short notice.
