Aspect Personnel are partnering with a council in Melbourne's north to recruit an experienced Subdivision Landscape Officer .
This contract role requires local government experience and offers a flexible hybrid arrangement.
About the Role You'll play a key role in assessing and approving landscape plans across the new subdivisions across the municipality.
The primary focus will be to review landscape plans and provide technical advice on horticultural practices and landscape design to developers, consultants and the planning team.
Key Responsibilities Provide landscape expertise in the assessment and approval of landscape plans in new subdivisions.
Ensure that all landscapes, including open space, streetscapes and waterways, are developed in accordance with Council's Policies, Landscape Guidelines and planning permit requirements.
Ensure all relevant design and construction standards are achieved through the approval of relevant plans and associated documentation.
Contribute to the development of policies, standards and guidelines relating to landscape development and water sensitive urban design.
About You Experience working in local government is essential Strong understanding of landscape design, planning processes and relevant legislation Confident liaising with developers, planners and internal teams Ability to assess complex plans and provide accurate, timely advice Horticulture qualification desirable
