Front Runner AV & Event Production, based in Perth, Western Australia, delivers up-to-date and reliable audio-visual equipment hire, installation, and full production services. From our centrally located warehouse, we support a wide range of clients including artists, event promoters, corporate clients, government bodies, and venues with end-to-end audiovisual and event production services. Our dedicated team of audiovisual technicians are passionate about providing highly effective, memorable, and value driven AV experiences — from initial consultation to event completion.
Role Description
We are seeking a proactive Operations Coordinator to join our team on a part-time, fixed-term basis (3 days per week, 22.8 hours per week) starting October 20th, with potential to become permanent.
You will play a key role in coordinating our event, venue, and warehouse operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day delivery across projects. Core responsibilities include rostering staff, managing compliance, overseeing scheduling, and supporting team development.
This role is suited to someone who is organised, tech-savvy, and solutions-focused, with proven experience in the events industry, and who is comfortable being hands-on from time to time, assisting our warehouse and events teams as required, while balancing administrative and operational responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing staff rosters and reconciling timesheets through Connecteam.
- Overseeing warehouse and event operations, providing support for bump-in/bump-out logistics, and refining standard operating procedures in consultation with managers.
- Coordinating servicing, maintenance, and compliance for the organisation’s vehicle fleet and audio-visual equipment.
- Organising training sessions and maintaining a skills development matrix for casual and full-time staff to support ongoing professional development.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of budgets and timelines with managers.
- Reporting to the Finance Manager and General Manager on key operational matters and events.
- Working collaboratively with managers and team leaders to maintain and strengthen a positive and cooperative team culture.
Qualifications - Essential
- Minimum of two years’ experience in operations, logistics, or coordination (experience in audio-visual or events highly regarded).
- Demonstrated experience with workforce scheduling platforms such as Connecteam, Deputy, or similar.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and independently, with proven capacity to meet deadlines.
- Current Class C driver’s licence.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and proactive in approach.
Qualifications - Preferred (Highly Desirable)
- Familiarity with Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation and compliance requirements relevant to events and warehouse operations.
- Experience in the audio-visual, live production, or events industry, with knowledge of industry-standard equipment and practices.
- Experience with Current RMS - AV rental inventory management software.
- Understanding of human resources processes, including onboarding, training, and performance support.
- Experience in preparing and monitoring budgets, timelines, and project documentation.
- Formal training or certification in project management, logistics, or event operations.
- Willingness to assist warehouse, and event teams in a hands-on capacity from time to time.
