We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Legal and Technical Lead based in our Darwin office.About the roleYou will be responsible for overseeing the management of common law claims and providing technical and strategic advice on complex, high profile and litigated claims.Provide specialized support and advice to the TIO MAC business in relation to complex, high profile, litigated NT claims and common law claims.Provide instructions to panel solicitors in relation to Tribunal matters and litigated claims.Act as an escalation point within the authority matrix to review and provide guidance on claims management decisions.Coach and assist TIO MAC staff in relation to complex, high profile litigated NT claims and common law claimsOversee the NT legal and common law portfolios to ensure expeditious resolution of claimsOversee the performance of the panel solicitors including undertaking reviews as required.
Contribute to claim reviews as required to ensure that sound strategies are developed to drive positive outcomes and prevent escalation where possible.About youTertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and industry accreditations, where necessaryExperience managing complex legal claims within a heavily regulated related industryExperience of working in a customer service role with strong technical knowledge and proven Compulsory Third Party (CTP) experience.Ability to make independent as well as collaborative decisions during expected or unexpected situations and then taking responsibility for the consequences of decisions takenDemonstrated ability to partner and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders to establish strong professional relationships and influence outcomesA passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscapeBenefits and perksInclusive Culture: Join a supportive, open-minded team focused on customer outcomes, bringing your authentic self to work every day
