Role: Technical Support Specialist – Education

As a Technical Support Specialist – Education, you'll be the go‑to champion for teachers, students and staff, troubleshooting everything from Apple to Windows, cloud services to on‑site servers. Day to Day Responsibilities:

* Be organised, with a high level of autonomy
* Develop and maintain an understanding of the Winthrop Australia support process and methodology, including systems, time recording, ticketing platforms and other support systems
* Provide reactive and proactive IT support, for issues with client's systems, servers, telephony, security, cloud, and network infrastructure.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with a focus on clear communication and efficient solutions.
* Train and assist staff and students on the use of educational technology tools and resources
* Document resolutions, how-tos and processes, both for internal and client-facing use
* Ensure all IT resources are compliant with relevant policies and regulations.

* Prior experience in an educational setting
* Experience with ConnectWise
* You can communicate well and know how to keep people informed with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
* Have previously supported Mac in a corporate or education environment with experience in Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions
* You're an IT generalist with technical knowledge of hardware, software, server and networking systems.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
* You've got the ability to think outside the box and the confidence to troubleshoot problems onsite or by phone
* You're wanting to have a trusted relationship with your clients as their technology advisor
* You know your limits, when to ask for advice and are comfortable in doing so
* Most importantly you're hungry to learn more and prove that you have the goods to progress to the next level

Candidates are welcome to apply with either formal IT qualifications or relevant experience, as both are valued for this position.


Additional Requirements:

* Able to obtain a Working with Children Check and a National Police History Check (NPHC) from the Western Australia Department of Education.
* Valid Australian Class C driver's license and vehicle
* Permanent Australian resident or citizen
* Be based in Perth, Western Australia
