We are undergoing one of Australia's largest digital transformations and establishing an AI Engineering function within HR. This role is part of the HR Technology team responsible for designing and leading technical skills build across the organization to prepare people to be skills-ready for today and tomorrow.
The HR Technology function focuses on delivering easy-to-use solutions that help people and support regulatory obligations, while fostering a culture of innovation across platforms, processes, and channels.
Responsibilities
* Provide strategic technical leadership and mentorship, driving best practices for ServiceNow customer journey and user experience development, as well as associated architecture, deployment, and scaling
* Oversee the design and development of scalable code features and functionality with a focus on performance and reliability; architect core components to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability
* Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to define and implement technical requirements; translate needs into technical solutions and ensure platform reliability through robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
* Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architecture blueprints and best practices; conduct workshops and training sessions to educate and align the team on platform usage and best practices
Technical Skills
* Good understanding of modern Cloud technology stacks (ideally with AWS certifications) and how they can be used and managed in enterprise environments (EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM)
* ServiceNow Platform Skills including scripting (JavaScript: Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies)
* Building and consuming REST APIs and SOAP-based integrations
* Designing Flows and Journeys; understanding and implementing Security Rules
* Developing Portals using AngularJS; experience with MID Servers; designing ATFs
* Experience with UI Builder (Optional); CI/CD Pipelines like Xtype (Optional)
* Building test scripts with Playwright (Optional); Modules: Custom Application, HRSD (preferred not mandatory), HSW (Optional)
Certifications
* CSA (Certified System Administrator)
* CAD (Certified Application Developer) - Optional
* CIS-HRSD (Certified Implementation Specialist – HRSD) – Optional
Good to Have
* Keen interest in researching new AI tooling; daily user of AI coding assistants (e.g., Cursor, Continue, GitHub Copilot, Aider, Cline, Roo Code, etc.)
