This is a rare opportunity for a senior content leader to build and run a high-velocity, newsroom-style content operation from the inside of one of Australia's most ambitious financial services brands.

About the Role

As Senior Manager Content Operations, you will lead a multidisciplinary content team of writers, editors, video, and community coordinators, and build the editorial engine that powers the brand's visibility across search, AI-driven discovery, and owned and earned channels. This is not a traditional content management role. You will operate with the rigour and pace of a journalistic newsroom, translating SEO and LLM strategy into a high-volume, always-on publishing operation that feeds both human curiosity and large language models. You will own the editorial calendar, the content production workflow, the video asset library, and the distribution and partnership strategy, all while maintaining the brand integrity and quality standards expected of a market-leading consumer brand.

Key Responsibilities

* Build and lead a dynamic, newsroom-style content operation, managing a team of writers, editors, video coordinators, and community moderators.
* Construct and manage a rigorous editorial calendar fed directly by SEO and LLM gap analysis, ensuring every piece of content has a defined commercial purpose.
* Translate search visibility opportunities and audience insights into actionable creative briefs that the content team can execute at pace and at scale.
* Oversee the video content strategy and asset library, managing workflows between internal teams and external production agencies to deliver a robust and channel-mapped schedule.
* Develop frameworks for AI-assisted copywriting that balance speed with quality, ensuring all outputs meet brand and compliance standards before publication.
* Drive the ongoing maintenance and optimisation of existing digital content, partnering with the SEO and website teams to refresh underperforming pages.
* Grow the brand's content distribution network by identifying and cultivating partnerships with podcasts, creators, and publishers that extend visibility beyond owned channels.
* Manage the PR agency relationship to deliver a visibility and reputation strategy aligned to AI discoverability.
* Set the operational standard for the team, embedding processes, removing friction, and holding the line on quality in a fast-paced environment.

About you

You are a senior content leader who has built and run high-output editorial teams, ideally with a background in journalism or digital publishing. You understand instinctively how to balance creative quality with operational discipline. You are commercially minded, deeply curious about AI and the evolving search landscape, and you know how to get the best out of a multidisciplinary team under deadline pressure.

Ideally you will bring

* Hands on experience in content operations, journalism, or digital publishing, with experience in high-volume production environments.
* A strong understanding of the AI and LLM landscape, including how content feeds AI models and how to integrate AI tools into editorial workflows.
* Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a track record of navigating legal, compliance, and product requirements without sacrificing pace.
* Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary creative teams, balancing creative freedom with operational accountability.
* Experience identifying and developing content distribution partnerships with external creators, podcasts, or publishers.
* Strong channel mapping expertise across web, video, social, and email.
* Experience managing external agencies to strict quality and delivery standards.

Experience in insurance or financial services, broadcast journalism or video production management, and enterprise workflow tools such as Jira or Asana will be highly regarded.
