Job Description
The Vice President of Purchasing oversees the strategic leadership and vision of the procurement and purchasing function, ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategic plans and business goals.
This role is responsible for developing and implementing innovative procurement strategies that drive operational excellence, cost efficiency, and risk mitigation.
Key responsibilities include overseeing complex financial pricing and margin structures from acquisition cost, leading cross-functional teams to drive procurement initiatives, and providing strategic guidance to senior leadership on procurement & purchasing trends, risks, and opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* 15+ years of progressive procurement/purchasing experience, preferably in homebuilding.
* 10+ years in a senior leadership role, proven track record of leading large-scale procurement transformations and driving significant cost savings.
* Solid understanding and knowledge of procurement, estimating, contract management, including accounts payable practices and legal requirements.
* Expertise in negotiations and contracting, including complex terms and conditions, that manages corporate risk.
