About the Opportunity We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Planning Engineer to support the delivery of construction and maintenance programs across roads and drainage infrastructure assets within a large local government environment.
This is a strong long-term contract opportunity where you will play a key role in planning, developing, and improving maintenance programs for a growing region.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage road and drainage maintenance programs
* Analyse asset condition data and translate into practical works programs
* Provide technical advice and support to delivery teams
* Assist in budget planning, forecasting, and cost monitoring
* Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance processes and standards
* Engage with internal stakeholders, contractors, and field teams
* Utilise GIS, asset management systems, and data analysis tools
This role is focused on asset management, planning, and program delivery across road and drainage networks.About You
* Background in civil engineering (roads and drainage)
* Experience in construction and/or maintenance environments
* Strong capability in asset management, maintenance planning, or works programming
* Ability to interpret data and deliver practical, cost-effective solutions
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Local government experience highly regarded
