The Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. This is a hands‐on role supporting food preparation and cooking across lunch and dinner service. The position is essential to maintaining food quality, consistency, and smooth kitchen operations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Preparing and cooking a range of dishes in accordance with menu specifications
* Assisting with food preparation and mise en place for service periods
* Ensuring consistency in portioning, presentation, and food quality
* Operating across different kitchen sections including grill, fryer, and preparation areas
* Monitoring food quality and ensuring dishes meet required standards
* Assisting with stock control, storage, and rotation of ingredients
* Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of kitchen work areas
* Following food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures
* Supporting chefs and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service delivery
* Assisting with receiving and checking deliveries
Essential Skills & Experience
* Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
* At least 1–2 years experience in a commercial kitchen environment
* Experience working in a fast‐paced hospitality setting
* Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
