Overview
Our client is a well-established Australian mining contractor delivering services across major resource projects. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join their high-performing finance team. This is a key role supporting operational leadership by providing high-quality financial insights, driving performance reporting, and contributing to strategic decision-making across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
* Provide commercial and financial insights to operational and project managers
* Monitor project performance, cost control, and profitability
* Support year-end reporting, audit processes, and compliance requirements
* Identify and implement process improvements within the finance function
* Partner closely with operations, project teams, and senior leadership
About You
* CA or CPA qualified (or near completion)
* Strong experience in management accounting or commercial finance
* Experience in mining, mining services, construction, or heavy industry is highly desirable
* Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
* Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
