Engineering Opportunity
Council offers a two year part time contract working 14 hours per week where you will gain hands on industry experience while receiving support towards your tuition fees in Cessnock, New South Wales.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide meaningful engineering input from day one on real development and subdivision projects.
* Collaborate with experienced professionals, build your technical skills and gain valuable insight into how local government operates.
Eligibility Criteria
* Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering (Bachelor of Engineering).
* Have already completed two full years of study by the end of 2025.
* Have two years left of study as of 2026.
* Be achieving satisfactory academic results in your current undergraduate studies.
* Be able to demonstrate well developed interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
* Be able to demonstrate the ability to multi task and prioritise work within an environment of competing demands.
* Have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
* Hold a current Class C unrestricted drivers licence.
