The Marmion Angling and Aquatic Club is Western Australia's leading Angling and Aquatic Club and is situated in a beach front location on West Coast Drive, Marmion. With gorgeous, uninterrupted panoramic views of the Indian Ocean, the MAAC is a popular venue for members and families to enjoy.
Since the club's establishment in 1953, this members only facility has been a popular spot for fisherman and the local community. The club offers fishing, diving, pool, darts, juniors activities and bar and restaurant facilities in a family friendly environment.
To be the successful candidate you will assist the Food and Beverage Manager in the effective, efficient and profitable management of the bars at this venue. This is a full time role, Tuesday to Saturday, with evenings and the occasion Sunday required.
Prior experience as an Assistant Bar Manager or similar is required.

Responsibilities
Assist the Food and Beverage Manager achieve objectives and targets set by the Club Manager
Preparation of the fortnightly rosters in consultation with the Food and Beverage Manager
Oversee bar operations in the absence of the Food and Beverage Manager
Ability to lead and manage the culture, performance, customer service and profitability of the bar operations
Identifying customer needs and responding proactively
Training and developing team members
Assist the Food and Beverage Manager in reviewing and maintaining all beverage related standards within the club
Maintaining and cultivating a strong working relationship with co- departments to achieve excellent product related and financial success with your area
Strong visible hands-on operator who can remain calm and make decisions whilst under pressure
Ensure bar areas are neat and tidy at all times
Human Resources
Assist in recruiting, inducting and training staff to minimise turnover and deliver consistent service
Provide staff with explicit and concise direction and actively promote a concept of "team environment" through open and honest communication.
Managing conflict effectively and obtaining appropriate co-operation from all team members
Monitor and provide performance feedback on an ongoing basis to address performance issues
Effective rostering of staff based on the levels of business
Leadership
Lead by example in all aspects of Club operations
Support a culture of information sharing to your employees
Ensure communications are maintained, updated and circulated
Personal specification
Calm manner and copes well under pressure Sound work ethic
A flexible and adaptable work approach
Show professionalism and a commitment at all times
Able to maintain a team environment
Excellent writing and communication skills
RSA and approved manager card required
