The Location
Surrounded by lush tropical gardens and sparkling blue lagoons, Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Gold Coast offers over 295 guest rooms and suites, award winning restaurants and bars and over 14 conference and meeting spaces, all in an absolute beachfront environment.
The Role
We are currently looking for an experienced Full Time and Part Time Reservations Agent to join our Reservations team.
As the Reservations Agent you will handle all incoming reservations as a priority ensuring that the hotel is maximizing sales of property rooms and facilities and may assist the Group Reservations as required.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Answering incoming calls from the general public
* Supporting our Marriott Bonvoy loyalty members with enquiries and membership information
* Delivering exceptional service to our guests in meeting requests and exceeding guest expectations
* Promoting the hotel's facilities and converting enquiries into bookings
* Ensuring booking details are complete and correct at all times
* Following up on reservation details and entering details into the property management system
* Liaising with travel agents to ensure booking details are correct
* Checking daily arrivals and confirming details to ensure a smooth and seamless stay for every guest
* Following up on methods of payment with guests
What we are looking for
* Previous Reservations experience in a Hotel Reservations or Front Office environment
* A passion for client and guest engagement and developing strong relationships built on trust and confidence
* Professional communication and genuine interpersonal skills
* A great eye for detail to ensure all data is entered correctly
* Effective time management in a fast-paced environment
* A team player
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
* Previous experience with Opera PMS or a similar reservations system
* Flexibility to work on a 7 day rotational roster
