Position Information
Gables Public School is a brand new school located in the Northwest growth area of Sydney. The school will be situated in a diverse and multicultural community. Student enrolments are expected to increase significantly in the first five years of operation as the surrounding area undergoes extensive development.
The school will have capacity for up to 1000 students when completed. Gables Public School will include three support classes for students with disabilities and additional learning needs, and a preschool.
Gables Public School is now accepting enrolments for Kindergarten to Year 6 who live within the intake area for Day 1 Term 1 2027.
About the Role
A School Administrative Officer provides administrative, financial and student welfare/wellbeing support and assistance in relation to office and classroom activities, including but not limited to the following school settings: the office, sick bay and library.
Essential Requirements
* Working with Children Check Clearance
* First Aid Certificate or willingness to undertake First Aid training.
* Administration of Medications – training to be provided based on student needs.
Selection Criteria
* Demonstrated capacity to work effectively as part of a team.
* Administration skills including a knowledge of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office.
* Effective oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to meet deadlines.
* Ability to work with teachers and students.
* Ability to perform tasks in one or more of the following areas: office procedures; accounting procedures; sick bay; hospitality and /or design and technology; science.
