Project Facilitator
This role requires an individual who is able to provide support and guidance to build community capacity, while working with local members and partners to deliver early childhood initiatives.
* Ensure that regular playgroups and early childhood activities are occurring within the community to support child development.
* Provide mentoring, coaching and support to the Early Childhood Reference Groups and other community members as appropriate.
* Develop and implement annual plans according to project design, including monitoring progress and reporting on results in consultation with the Program Manager.
* Offer one-on-one mentoring, coaching, supervision and guidance to local community-based World Vision Playgroup staff to ensure clarity of expectations and a sense of belonging in the program.
* Cordinate with external groups and stakeholders to organize for participation in and support for playgroups.
* Monitor and report on the progress of relevant project activities in consultation with the Program Manager.
* Identify and develop new project activities and opportunities to achieve agreed outcomes across the project.
The role involves working in complex and dynamic environments, requiring sound knowledge of the cultural, political, economic, and social issues affecting Aboriginal people in remote Australia.
