A well-established landscape construction group is seeking enthusiastic and capable Site Managers to join its growing team. About the Role
You will work closely with a supportive site team in a hands‑on capacity, overseeing the construction of high‑quality landscape projects. Daily responsibilities include:
* Leading and working alongside the site team on the construction of adventure playgrounds, creek beds, timber and metal structures, concrete works, softscape installation, and retaining walls (sandstone, timber, concrete sleepers)
* Operating vehicles and earthmoving machinery
* Reading plans and setting out heights and levels with accuracy
* Supporting site safety processes and documentation
* Assisting Project Managers with materials and labour scheduling
* Managing and coordinating subcontractors, including scheduling
* Facilitating smooth flow of documentation between site and office
* Contributing practical labour as required — this is a hands‑on role
* Representing the company professionally when clients visit site
* Bringing a positive, "can‑do" attitude to the team each day
Skills & Experience
You will bring:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in landscape construction or similar
* Strong construction and horticultural knowledge
* Skid steer, excavator and MR licence (required)
* Experienced operator capabilities, particularly detailed excavation and sandstone block walls
* Carpentry and chainsaw skills (advantageous)
* Confidence with trade mathematics
* Proven ability to work autonomously and within a team
* Excellent communication skills
* Reliability, honesty, and a solutions‑focused mindset
* Patience, good humour, punctuality, and genuine commitment to quality work
