Allied Express Transport is seeking two experienced and motivated AM Shift Supervisors to join our team at the Brisbane Depot in Archerfield. This hands-on role is responsible for leading a AM operations team, ensuring all freight is efficiently staged, processed, and dispatched in line with key targets. You'll play a key role in coordinating the flow of freight alongside your peers, maintaining accuracy, meeting performance targets, and promoting a positive and safe working environment.
Main role will be overseeing the induction and processing of the freight, with minimum hours with reasonable overtime. Working hours 4:30am - 12:30pm.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage resources and activities to ensure freight operations run smoothly and meet performance targets.
* Supervise and mentor a team of operational staff, promoting teamwork, accountability, and safety.
* Ensure all freight is correctly labelled, scanned, and tracked to maintain transparency and accuracy.
* Monitor safety and compliance standards, including Chain of Responsibility (COR) and Heavy Vehicle National Laws (HVNL).
* Analyse workflows and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
* Maintain accurate shift records and provide operational reports as required.
* Collaborate with peers to resolve issues and improve performance.

* You have previous experience in a supervisory role within the transport, logistics, or warehousing industry.
* You gained strong understanding of freight operations and resource coordination and management.
* You have knowledge of COR, HVNL, and general safety regulations.
* You provide strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
* You are proficient with computers, tablets, and operational systems.
* You are a hands-on leader of people who thrives in a fast-paced environment and leads by example.
