Job Summary
This role involves ensuring the safe and efficient performance of electrical systems at a cutting-edge radio astronomy facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, operating, and upgrading complex electrical systems, as well as performing fault diagnosis and repairs.
About the Role
The Licensed Electrician will work on a FIFO (Fly-In-Fly-Out) 8-days on 6-days off roster, ensuring the uninterrupted performance of electrical systems across the telescope site. This includes the deployment, maintenance, operation, and upgrade of a wide array of electrical systems and apparatus.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Maintain electrical test equipment and support effective testing procedures.
* Participate in after-hours on-call support and attend to system breakdowns.
* Perform prompt fault diagnosis and repairs on electrical and electronic systems.
* Undertake installation, commissioning, and upgrade of industrial electrical systems and components.
* Contribute to the planning and scheduling of electrical maintenance activities.
