An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Systems Engineer-Grid Control Specialist to join a dynamic team delivering critical technology solutions in a complex operational environment.
This role offers the chance to work on significant IT systems integration projects and support industry-leading platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and support Linux / UNIX environments, preferably Red Hat Linux.
Configure and maintain systems associated with GE ADMS.
Engage in large-scale IT systems integration, covering :
Contribute to environment security architecture in complex, business-critical systems.
Communicate effectively across technical and business teams, translating technical concepts into business-focused language.
Interfacing technologies
Communication protocols
Systems networking
Virtualisation technologies
Scripting languages
Authentication and authorisation mechanisms
About You - Essential
Significant experience in Linux / UNIX systems administration (preferably Red Hat).
Proven background in supporting or configuring systems within the GE ADMS ecosystem.
Strong experience in large IT systems integration projects.
Solid understanding of security architecture in complex environments.
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to simplify technical information for business audiences.
Desirable
Knowledge of electrical power systems and control systems.
Significant knowledge in the design, development, or administration of large, multi-schema Oracle RDBMS environments with complex data models.
