**Your new company**
This well-known Federal Government department is seeking an APS6 Senate Estimates Coordinator to join one of their branches and section that provides strategic advice on parliamentary business processes, oversees the management and administration of parliamentary workflows, supports the Departmental Liaison Officers cohort and provides account management and coordinates overseas travel to Ministerial offices. This position has become available due to an increase of workload.
**Your new role**
You will primarily be responsible for the coordination of Senate Estimates and Joint Committee hearings for the department. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Managing, tracking and reporting of Senate Estimates and Joint Committee response to Questions on Notice.
- Coordinating the corrections after Senate Estimate and Joint Committee hearings.
- Coordinating responses to Parliamentary Questions on Notice.
- Coordination responses to Questions on Notice.
- Lodging the departments Parliamentary Questions on Notice and Questions on Notice responses to correlating Committee.
- Liaising with the committee secretariats on public hearing processes and matters.
- Providing advice and assistance to divisional unit coordinators within the department and agencies on Senate Estimates and Joint Committee procedures and requirements.
- Organise and provide secretariat duties to the department and agencies appearing at Senate Estimates and Joint Committee hearings.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful for this position you will have previous experience within a similar position and the Federal Government. You will also have strong coordination skills, excellent communication skills both written and verbal, attention to detail, the ability to pick up processes quickly, the ability to work independently and as part of a team and the ability to use initiative.
Experience managing Senate Estimates and using Parliamentary Document Management System (PDMS) will be highly regarded for this position.
To be considered for this role you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
