What You'll Be Doing
Based between the Community and Hospital to provide medical, clinical and consultancy service in palliative care to inpatient and community-based clients and their families within the Northern NSW Local Health District.
Provide contemporary comprehensive Specialist Palliative Care services at the primary facility and other facilities where applicable for optimal patient outcomes delivering a healthy community through quality care.
Participate in quality improvement activities as well as providing training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.

Tweed Valley Hospital is a major referral and teaching hospital located in the heart of the Tweed-Byron region. Murwillumbah District Hospital is a community hospital providing a range of services. Tweed Heads and Murwillumbah Community Health provide a range of services including a Cancer and Palliative Care service with sites at Murwillumbah, Pottsville, Kingsliff and Byron Bay. The Tweed Valley is a subtropical oasis with diverse communities and lifestyle opportunities.

Qualifications & Requirements
* Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Palliative Medicine Physician, and/or specialist international medical graduate pathways.
* Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Palliative Care Medicine in the Hospital and Community.
* Commitment to upholding the philosophies and objectives of Palliative Care services and providing high quality health services and continuity of care within the local community.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership.
* Effective clinical communication through information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
* Availability to participate in an on-call roster and respond on site within a reasonable time.
