Our Mount Magnet Mining (MMG) operations include multiple open pit, underground, and satellite sites with a projected 17-year mine life. Active areas include Galaxy underground, Cue open pit, and Penny underground, with further expansion and exploration underway.
The Role
As the Administration & Commercial Manager at Mount Magnet, you'll play a pivotal leadership role overseeing the site's commercial, administration, and supply functions. You'll be responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring compliance, and supporting operational excellence through effective systems, people, and processes. This is a dynamic, hands-on role that requires strategic oversight and day-to-day execution across key business functions.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Oversee all site-based budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting
* Develop and maintain short, medium, and long-term financial plans with measurable outputs
* Lead the site's supply and warehouse operations, ensuring efficient systems and inventory control
* Manage the administration team, including site accommodation, travel, and village services
* Support contract negotiation and commercial terms in collaboration with Group Contracts Manager
* Identify opportunities for cost improvement and operational efficiency across site functions
* Lead and develop direct reports including the Supply Superintendent and Site Administrators
About You
You're a commercially astute leader with a strong background in site-based operations, financial management, and team leadership. You thrive in a fast-paced mining environment and bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to every challenge. With a solid understanding of supply chain, administration, and commercial functions, you're ready to make a meaningful impact at Mount Magnet.
To Be Successful In This Role, You'll Bring
* Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Accounting
* CA or CPA membership
* Site-based post-qualification experience in mining, construction, or major contracting
* Strong financial and commercial acumen with advanced financial modelling and Excel skills
* Proven leadership experience with a focus on team culture and capability development
* Experience preparing and reporting against budgets and managing accounting controls for project development
* Highly developed financial and numerical analytical skills
* Familiarity with Pronto ERP (advantageous)
* Exposure to INX System Software including InFlight, InControl & Intuition (desirable)
