About the Role
Joining our team in Beechboro on a casual basis, you will support a person with disability living in Supported Independent Living who requires a range of support including High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (HIDPAs), manual handling and mobility assistance.
The successful candidate will have previous experience as a Disability Support Worker including the provision of HIDPAs, personal care, manual handling, wound care and catheter care. You will be a dedicated and compassionate support worker who is passionate about active support and helping people achieve their goals and dreams.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide personal care (including HIPDA, catheter care and wound care)
* Follow person‐centred support and behaviour plans
* Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
* Maintain thorough record keeping
* Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues
* Advocate for client choice and control
Skills & Experience
* Experience working with people with disability
* Previous experience working with High Intensity Daily Personal Activities
* Experience with personal care and manual handling
* Strong computer and verbal and written communication skills
* A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
