Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Laboratory Assistant to support our lab operations. In this role, you'll be directly involved in day-to-day lab tasks such as weighing, sampling, cleaning, and handling equipment, helping to ensure smooth and efficient lab processes. **Daily Tasks**:
- Accurately weighing items for Laboratory staff
- Loading and unloading equipment with precision
- Pouring and packaging materials
- Cleaning and maintaining workbenches for safety and cleanliness
- Completing batch books and keeping records up to date
- Sampling, cutting, and preparing materials using knives
- Manual handling and some heavy lifting of equipment and materials
- Working 5 hours per day, 5 days per week (9am - 2pm or 10am - 3pm)
**You will bring to this role**:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and carrying equipment
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
- Independence and teamwork skills
- Prior laboratory experience is advantageous but not essential
