About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HSET Coordinator / Advisor to join one of our largest projects. This is a salaried position, working a 8/6 FIFO roster with 12-hour shifts. You will be part of a supportive and well-established team dedicated to safety and professional growth.
Responsibilities
* Reporting to the HSET Manager, this role will be responsible for, but not limited to:
* Assist in the management and implementation of the company Health and Safety management system
* Support the effective application of Risk Management processes, including risk assessments
* Collaborate with site Project Managers and Supervisors to align and achieve HSET goals and objectives
* Lead and assist with incident investigation, ensuring effective management of corrective and preventative actions within agreed timeframes
* Reporting on company HSET performance specifically with regard to lead and lag indicators
* Assist in the development, implementation and improvement of HSE policies, procedures, tools and templates
* Conduct and participate in company and client Health and Safety related audits and inspections, induction and site familiarisation requirements for new employees
* Assist with the planning and implementation of health and safety improvement initiatives
Qualifications
* Class C Driver's License
* Bachelors, Diploma or Cert. IV in OH&S, or equivalent (or in progress of obtaining)
* Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
* Minimum 1 year's experience in a similar role within a mining or related industry
* Working knowledge of relevant WH&S legislation
* Proficient with various risk assessment & incident investigations tools/processes
* Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
* Lead Auditor experience
* First Aid Certificate
