Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage multiple APS5 Learning and Development Officers for a 12 month assignment with potential extension in Geelong. 
**About the Team** 
The Workforce and Capability Branch sits within the People and Culture (P&C;) Division. The Branch is responsible for sourcing people with the skills and cultural fit to best deliver a world-leading Scheme. They enable an inclusive, capable, and engaged workforce. 
The branch leads a range of programs, including learning and development initiatives such as foundational skills development, the Graduate Development Program, service delivery training, and leadership and management development. They manage culture and inclusion initiatives such as staff engagement programs, the Employee Experience project, and the annual Agency-wide APS Census. The branch also leads organisational development initiatives such as talent, succession, performance, and reward and recognition initiatives such as the Celebrating Brilliance program (Light Up). 
**About the Role** 
The 
**APS5 Learning and Development** will be required to provide policy advice within an area of specialisation with advice based on policies and legislation. 
The 
**APS5 Learning and Development** will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex to complex enquiries. 
**Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to**: 
- Leading and participating in capability and learning projects and contributing to the achievement of business outcomes. 
- Coordinating learning and development activities across the agency and undertaking administrative functions as required. 
- Assisting in the development, implementation, and effective communication of a new Learning and Development Strategy. 
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining governance processes to support the effective administration of the Learning and Development team. 
- Assisting Instructional Designers with learning needs analysis, course design, building interactive learning elements and engaging activities. 
- Providing facilitation and/or facilitation support for workshops, including both face to face and online. 
- Evaluating and analysing the effectiveness of capability and learning activities, ensuring quality outcomes are delivered. 
- Providing regular updates and reports on a range of P&C; measures, activities, and processes. 
**Key selection criteria**: 
- Strong written communication skills 
- Cultural competency, including knowledge and/or experience of secure and inclusive stakeholder engagement 
- Sound organisational and administrative skills 
**Desirable selection criteria**: 
- Experience supporting a learning and development function 
- Experience providing facilitation for workshops, including both face to face and online. 
**What's on Offer?** 
- Position located in Geelong 
- APS5 $55.24/ph + super 
- Temporary contract for 12 months, with possibility to extend 
- Standard Hours of work - Monday to Friday, 8:30 am till 5:00 pm
