Coordinator - Broome Family Domestic Violence Refuge

About the role
This is a permanent full‐time position based in Broome reporting to the Manager – Kimberley Family and Domestic Violence. You will be responsible for the efficient coordination of daily service operations, ensuring optimal service quality for women, children and employees.
You will provide influential, authentic leadership to a team of Residential Support Workers responsible for the provision of practical guidance, emotional support and the creation of a safe and secure environment to women and children escaping Domestic Violence. With oversight of service and risk management, you will also manage regulatory compliance to a high standard and ensure staff support individuals to navigate barriers and complex systems, enabling their overall well‐being and ability to work toward personal goals.
About you
You'll have a comprehensive background in leading teams and providing a high level of support to women and children with complex needs and trauma backgrounds. A high degree of resilience, leadership, and experience in trauma informed practice will ensure your team follows your calm, steady and empathetic approach in an often emotive environment.
* Relevant tertiary level qualification (preferred).
* Detailed knowledge of Family Domestic Violence and working in Crisis Accommodation facilities.
* Highly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise with people at all levels in an informative and professional manner.
* Understanding of risk and regulatory compliance.
* Strong assessment, analysis, planning and intervention skills and experience.
* Work with Children Check (WWCC).
* National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months).
