Adelaide Urology Care is seeking an experienced and reliable Medical Receptionist/Secretary to join our friendly and professional team. This role focuses on providing high-quality reception and administrative support in a modern urology clinic known for its compassionate, patient-centred care.

We are looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent service to patients, doctors, and referrers.

About the Role


As a Medical Secretary, you will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic. You will be the first point of contact for patients and be responsible for supporting the clinical and surgical workflow through accurate and efficient administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities



• Manage the front desk – greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments

• Maintain and coordinate the specialist's diary, including consulting and surgical bookings

• Liaise with hospitals, GPs, specialists, and patients in a courteous and timely manner

• Prepare and manage theatre lists and associated paperwork

• Handle billing and payments (Medicare, DVA, private billing, surgical fees)

• Process incoming referrals, faxes, mail, and emails daily

• Assist with correspondence, scanning, and filing of medical records

• Ensure clinic rooms are tidy, well-stocked, and ready for use

• Support the urologist and clinical team with general administrative tasks as needed

About You



• Previous experience in a medical reception or secretarial role (specialist practice highly regarded)

• Friendly and professional communication style

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills

• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

• Proficient with medical software (e.g. Gentu or similar) and Microsoft Office

• Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality

• Current Police Clearance or willingness to obtain

• Valid work rights in Australia
