Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a food and beverage outlet as an independent profit center.

Main Responsibilities

* To ensure the assigned outlet is managed successfully, with a focus on maintaining high standards of service and quality.
* To monitor all costs and recommend measures to control them.
* To adhere to the Departmental Operations Manual and maintain minimum operating standards.
* To work closely with the Head Chef to address any issues that may arise.
* To handle guest complaints, requests, and inquiries in a professional manner.
* To establish strong relationships with guests and maintain good customer service.
* To prepare and update Departmental Operations Manuals as necessary.
* To forward Food and Beverage forms and reports accordingly.
* To conduct daily operations briefings with team members.
* To embody the Sofitel values, brand standards, and appearance & hygiene guidelines.

Additional Responsibilities

* To train and develop team members to enable them to operate independently.
* To assign responsibilities to subordinates and check their performance periodically.
* To conduct yearly performance appraisals.
* To carry out quarterly, bi-yearly, and yearly inventory of operating equipment.
* To assist in building a skilled team by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety, and development.

Qualifications

* Attention to detail and style are essential.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
* The ability to attract new talent who share the department's vision is crucial.
* A college degree in Hospitality or a similar field is necessary.
* 2 years' experience in a similar role is required.
* Fluency in English, Arabic, and French is necessary.

Other Requirements

* To respond to changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the industry, company, or hotel.
* To be flexible and extend job duties to meet business demands and guest service needs.
