The Role:
We are currently looking for multiple Disability Support Workers to work with a female client based in Benowa, QLD. Our participant is a 76-year-old female and has sustained Traumatic Brain Injury post a motor-vehicle accident. She requires moderate to high intensity care. Applicants with prior experience of working with Traumatic Brain Injury will be highly regarded. This is a casual ongoing position with no end date in sight. Our participant requires 24/7 support and is 2:1 support.
The shift times are as follows:
* 06:00am to 09:00am
* 06:00am to 02:00pm
* 02:00pm to 10:00pm
* 07:00pm to 10:00pm
* Active overnight: 10:00pm to 06:00am.
Pay Rates:
* Day Shift: $39.25 per hour
* Afternoon Shift: $43.18 per hour
* Night shift: $43.96 per hour
* Saturday: $54.95 per hour
* Sunday: $70.65 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
* Assistance with personal care
* Hoisting & Transfers (full hoist/sling hoist)
* Medication Prompting
* Attend to thorough skin checks
* Supervision/assistance during meal time
* Assistance with domestic tasks including meal preparation
* Assistance with Health & Rehab exercises
* Community access + rehab appointments
* Capacity Building and Companionship
Skills & Experiences:
* Minimum 6 months of experience with high intensity participant.
* Excellent Communication
* Assistance in Medication Certificate.
* Australian Driver Licence + own vehicle
* Current National Police Clearance
* Current NDIS Screening Card or Yellow Card
* Current Blue Card
* NDIS modules.
* First Aid & CPR Certificate
* Reliable, proactive, and positive attitude
