CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER & COMPANY SECRETARY SensesWA is a leading not-for-profit organisation that has provided disability services in Western Australia for over 127 years. The organisation is currently undergoing significant transformation, and a strategic financial leader is required to guide it through change while maintaining financial sustainability. The Finance Business Unit oversees financial management, strategic planning, asset management, investment, insurance, operational IT and data analytics.

Key Responsibilities Lead the transformation of the Finance function by optimising Microsoft 365 Business Central and integrating finance systems to enhance reporting and decision-making. Drive financial strategy aligned with SensesWA's transformation goals, provide deep financial analysis to inform business decisions and oversee budgeting processes focusing on sustainability and cost control. Lead and mentor Finance, Property and IT teams to build financial capability across SensesWA. Manage operational compliance, ICT services, property/equipment, financial investments, and insurance. Enhance data analytics capabilities to optimise decision-making in the NDIS environment. Collaborate with the Executive Team, Board Directors, and Business Unit Leaders to embed financial discipline. Build capabilities within the Finance team to improve service quality, cost management and process automation using Business Central functionality. Fulfill the company secretary's duties, ensuring governance compliance with ASIC and ACNC requirements. Report regularly to the Board, CEO and Executive Team on financial performance and strategic priorities. Liaise with government agencies, funding bodies, and key partners. Transform month end, board reporting and annual budgeting processes to simplify cost centres and automate processes and organisational reporting. Lead the preparation and coordination of annual audit processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory and funding requirements, and maintaining transparent financial reporting. About You You are a qualified CPA or CA with senior financial leadership experience in Australia and a strong track record in driving financial turnaround and profitability. You possess demonstrated expertise in financial analytics and data-driven decision-making, with a proven ability to lead organisational change and implement financial systems that improve efficiency.
Your excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills enable you to work effectively across all levels of the organisation. Experience in the NDIS or not-for-profit sector, familiarity with IT systems and platforms and understanding of company secretary responsibilities, including ACNC requirements, would be highly regarded.
In addition, you must be eligible for Police Clearance and be willing to travel to SensesWA sites as required.
