About The Role
* Role: UI/UX Designer
* Engagement: RFQ Opportunity
* Contract: 2-3 months
* Location: Melbourne based
* Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Responsibilities
* Design and deliver end-to-end UI/UX solutions across complex digital projects.
* Translate product specifications and business requirements into user-centred designs informed by user psychology.
* Create wireframes, user flows, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes aligned to customer needs.
* Define appropriate interaction models and evaluate their success through testing and feedback.
* Conduct user research activities and develop personas based on qualitative and quantitative data.
* Plan, facilitate, and analyse usability and concept testing to drive continuous design improvement.
* Identify usability, accessibility, and findability issues and propose creative, practical solutions.
* Ensure designs comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 or later, applying inclusive design principles throughout the design lifecycle.
* Clearly communicate design concepts, rationale, and prototypes to developers and technical teams.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design intent is maintained through delivery.
Skills And Experience
* Minimum 3 years' experience in UI/UX design delivering complex projects for medium to large organisations.
* Strong knowledge and practical application of WCAG 2.0/2.1+ accessibility guidelines.
* Proven experience in:
o Understanding product specifications and user behaviour.
o Conducting usability and concept testing and gathering actionable feedback.
o Creating personas using user research and data.
o Defining and assessing interaction models.
o Developing wireframes and prototypes around customer needs.
* Demonstrated ability to solve UX problems creatively and pragmatically.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to present and explain design ideas to developers and stakeholders.
* Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary delivery teams.
