Operational Resilience Specialist
Our organisation is seeking an experienced Operational Resilience Specialist to join our Risk Management team. This role will be responsible for driving enterprise-wide frameworks and capabilities that support a resilient, responsive, and secure organisation.
This highly visible role works across global business units and technology teams, providing independent second-line risk oversight, ensuring we're meeting our regulatory obligations and continually strengthening our ability to respond to operational risks and disruption events.
Key responsibilities include:
* Designing and implementing organisational resilience frameworks
* Providing assurance over operational resilience, working closely with technology, business units, and senior stakeholders
* Overseeing risk assessments, scenario testing, and supplier reviews to identify and address resilience vulnerabilities
* Building and maintaining governance forums, reporting to risk committees and leadership on resilience measures and risk appetite alignment
* Managing response to crisis events, including convening crisis management meetings and overseeing end-to-end recovery procedures
* Driving education and awareness programs for leaders and teams, supporting a strong and embedded risk culture
Requirements:
* 12+ years' experience in operational risk, business continuity, audit, or technology resilience, ideally in large and complex financial services organisations
* Proven leadership in managing enterprise risk, crisis response, and regulatory compliance programs across global jurisdictions
* Experience working in second-line risk, technology risk, or internal audit highly desirable
* Certifications such as CRISC, CISM, CISA, CISSP or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor advantageous
* Familiarity with global standards and regulators such as APRA (CPS 230), SEBI, RBI, DORA, and FCA/PRA
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive cross-functional alignment
