About the Client
Our client is a renewable energy technology manufacturer and project developer focused on acquiring and building solar PV and energy storage (ESS) projects across the Asia-Pacific region. They invest in projects at different development stages and manage them through design, construction, and commissioning. Working with external developers and EPC partners, the team oversees key technical and commercial activities to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard. The business is well-capitalised and offers exposure to large-scale renewable energy projects from acquisition to completion.
The Role
You will be responsible for on-site construction supervision, schedule control, EPC coordination, partner relationship management, and early-stage project development across multiple renewable energy projects in Australia. The role requires regular site presence, close collaboration with an overseas technical team, and active engagement with local contractors, landowners, suppliers, and key stakeholders..
Key Responsibilities
1. On-Site Project Supervision & Schedule Management
* Monitor construction progress across key scopes, including civil foundations, pole installation, and cable trenching.
* Ensure all site activities align with the approved project schedule and minimize delays.
* Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Australian electrical, construction, and compliance requirements.
2. Project Kickoff & On-Site Execution Support
* Support projects through the Ready-to-Build (RTB) stage and ensure timely commencement of EPC works.
* Track development and construction milestones to ensure projects start and progress as planned.
3. Partner Relationship Management & Site Engagement
* Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, EPC contractors, energy retailers, and equipment suppliers.
* Gather market intelligence and partner feedback to improve collaboration and project outcomes.
4. Project Sourcing, Evaluation & Market Development
* Identify and assess potential local project opportunities for development, acquisition, or resale.
* Expand networks with local developers, brokers, consultants, and relevant government agencies.
5. Knowledge Management & Reporting
* Capture and document on-site learnings and execution insights throughout each project phase.
* Prepare regular execution and analysis reports to HQ to support internal planning and knowledge sharing.
* Collaborate with HQ to deliver project review presentations and implement Post-Project Review (PPR) processes to support continuous improvement and team development.
Requirements
* 1–3 years of experience in the renewable energy sector.
* Degree or professional background in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
* Intermediate or higher proficiency in Mandarin.
* Experience working with EPC contractors is highly regarded.
