**Mental Health Clinician - Aged Community** **| Full time ongoing (80 hours per fortnight with monthly ADO)**
**About the Role**
The Mental Clinician in conjunction with the Senior Mental Health Clinicians and Team Leader provides comprehensive Bio - Psycho - Social clinical assessments,treatments and care with consumers and their families that are evidence based and best practice to enhance the person's recovery from mental disorder.
**Key Responsibilites**
Expertise in the provision of evidence based and best practice assessment, treatment provision and care, at a level commensurate with the role and years of experience
. To provide specialist support through primary, secondary and tertiary consultation to services through identification of complex needs and prioritzation of consumer, family and significant others needs
. Actively and effectively work within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the generic and discipline specific clinical expertise of the team
. Undertake comprehensive mental health assessments, identify and prioritise consumer and family needs and/or referral options
. Manage a caseload of consumers as the primary treating clinician within a multidisciplinary team that emphasises, practices and continually seeks to improve person - centered, family inclusive and community based care
. Evaluate the effects of implemented treatment of all consumers and their families in accordance with Grampians Health Mental Health Service policies, procedures and discipline specific standard.**Skills and Experience**
Relevant professional qualification in a health related discipline ( Nursing, Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy ) with current registration
. Minimum two years experience in a mental health settin

- e Sound understanding of Recovery Orientated Practice and the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022
