ACRWORLD has partnered with RES Group to recruit an Electrical Technician for operations at the Maryvale Solar Farm in regional New South Wales. With a growing portfolio across Australia, RES continues to play a key role in delivering affordable, zero-carbon energy. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician or renewable energy technician to join the operations and maintenance team supporting the ongoing performance of a large-scale solar asset. As an Electrical Technician, you will support the safe and efficient operation of the solar farm through their cold commissioning and testing phase. Responsibilities include: Testing and inspections of all electrical systems - ensuring that every component has been installed correctly and is operating in accordance with design specifications and safety requirements. Cold commissioning on inverters Verify correct cable terminations, labelling and polarity of PV strings and combiner boxes. Inspect and test inverters, transformers, switchgear, RMUs and protection systems. Carry out functional testing of circuit breakers, relays, SCADA signals and communication systems. Identify, troubleshoot and rectify defects and non-conformances. Complete punch lists and support close-out of outstanding installation issues. Record all test results and complete commissioning sheets and QA documentation.
