**Job Description**:
As a Laboratory Technician, based in Perth, you will provide on-site analytical testing ensuring the safe and efficient running of our contracted laboratory operation and performing a range of analytical tests with mínimal supervision.
Some specific responsibilities will be:
- To perform sampling and testing of samples
- Operate, calibrate, and conduct routine maintenance of analytical instruments with a high degree of precision
- Maintain calibration records, analytical results, test reports, and maintenance records in LIMS system
- Generate custom trend data and reports using a combination of LIMS and MS Office programs
- Assist with laboratory stock control and maintain adequate notification based on anticipated usage
- Under assistance from OGC staff, undertake methodical job hazard analysis activities with regard to sample collection and analytical chemistry
- Perform general laboratory duties and assist with the maintenance and development of the laboratory operation.
**Qualifications**:
- Relevant Technical School qualifications or tertiary studies
- Demonstrated experience in handling Petrochemical, Gas or Chemical Products
- Proficient computer software literacy.
- Knowledge in Quality Systems
- Skills with the following instruments are considered desirable; Karl Fisher, Flash Point, FTIR, Viscometer, Gas Chromatography, Induction Coupled Plasma, Auto titrators.
