**Job Description**:
- Perform digestions, solvent extraction and fusion following established procedures
- Prepare solutions and reagent according to procedures
- Perform wet chemistry analysis of geochemical samples
- Perform daily pre-start checks on the instruments and equipment
- Operate instrument and equipment according to the procedures
- Ensure quality and quantity of samples produced
- Maintain daily production targets
- Maintain a safety aware environment
- Dispose samples and waste according to defined procedures
- Complete balance, dispenser and pipette verification as per schedule
**Qualifications**:
- Certificate IV in Laboratory skills (desirable)
- Understand and be responsible for basic quality control/assurance procedures and techniques;
- The ability to work in a team environment or individually and the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
