* Lead the delivery of complex, high-value projects.
* Senior role with real influence on performance, people, and growth.
* Join a business scaling its operations, systems, and capability.
Be part of a business that’s growing fast. And bring the leadership to match.
ADE Power is delivering increasingly complex, multi-million-dollar projects across the electrical and power space, with a focus on the burgeoning data centre market. With a strong, stable and ongoing pipeline of work, a growing workforce, and rising project scale, they’re now looking for an Operations Manager to bring structure, discipline, and leadership to the next phase of growth.
This role isn’t about maintaining the status quo. It’s about stepping into a critical leadership role where you’ll take ownership of project delivery, build capability across the team, and help shape how the business operates as it scales.
You’ll report to the Operations Director and work closely with the broader leadership team across finance, HSEQ, and business development. You’ll be trusted to lead, make decisions, and drive outcomes, not just report on them.
What you’ll be responsible for:
You’ll lead the end-to-end delivery of projects, from tender handover through to completion and close-out, ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, on time, within budget, and to a consistently high standard of quality. Planning and coordinating labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors across multiple concurrent projects will fall to you.
You’ll be responsible for the commercial performance of the business through effective job costing, forecasting, and margin management, as well as strengthening operational capability across people, systems, and processes.
* Overseeing variations, invoicing, and financial performance to support cashflow and profitability.
* Leading regular project reviews, performance tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Building, coaching, and developing a high-performing operations team across project management, engineering, and workshop functions.
* Embedding a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with WHS and regulatory requirements.
* Acting as a senior point of contact for key clients, maintaining strong and trusted relationships.
* Supporting business development activities with operational and technical input.
* Strengthening operational systems, reporting, and governance as the business grows in scale and complexity.
What you’ll bring:
Proven experience in an Operations Manager or senior operational leadership role within electrical, power, infrastructure, or heavy manufacturing environments, with a strong track record of delivering complex, high-value projects and full accountability for outcomes, underpinned by a continuous improvement mindset.
This, combined with a strong commercial acumen across job costing, forecasting, margin control, and cashflow management, and the ability to lead, develop, and align multidisciplinary teams in a growing business environment will set you up for success.
Trade or tertiary qualifications in Electrical, Engineering, Construction, or Project Management will be highly regarded.
What’s on offer:
This is a genuine leadership role with end-to-end operational ownership within a business that is in growth mode, with increasing project scale and complexity. You will have direct influence over how operations are structured, managed, and improved, supported by a strong leadership team that values accountability, clarity, and outcomes.
The role also offers the opportunity to build and shape a high-performing team, with strong long-term career scope as the business continues to expand, all underpinned by a culture that prioritises safety, performance, and continuous improvement over unnecessary bureaucracy.
Additional details:
* Based in Hexham, with regular site engagement required.
* Involvement across multiple projects and locations.
If you’re an experienced operational expert who enjoys building teams, driving performance, and delivering complex projects in a high growth, high pace environment, and you’re looking for a role where you can genuinely shape a business for the future, this is your opportunity.
