About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and committed Senior Disability Support Worker to join our team full-time in Liverpool.
This Vertical Village supports individuals with high physical and complex clinical needs.
You will provide hands-on support while guiding a team of support workers across shifts.
Your leadership will ensure safe, consistent, and person-centred care every day.
A nursing qualification is highly desirable for this site due to the level of clinical complexity.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide daily living support: personal care, manual handling, medication, PEG feeding, and mobility
* Manage high-risk clinical care needs: seizure management, bowel care, midazolam, hoisting, wound care
* Support individuals using trauma-informed and positive behaviour practices
* Work closely with allied health, behaviour support practitioners, and families
* Lead by example and coach support workers on shift
* Ensure compliance with NDIS standards, care plans, and restrictive practice requirements
* Help onboard new team members and foster a strong team culture
* Keep accurate shift notes, incident reports, and clinical documentation
Requirements
* Minimum Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or Mental Health (Nursing degree highly desirable)
* 3+ years' experience in complex care, including high physical and clinical supports
* Confident managing hoists, bowel care, PEG feeding, and emergency response
* Experience working with individuals who have mental health conditions, trauma backgrounds, or justice involvement
* Calm, proactive, and able to make sound decisions under pressure
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries, and person-centred care
* Available for 24/7 rotating roster including overnights and weekends
* NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid Certificate, and valid Driver Licence required
