About the Role
Reporting to the Mine Planning Superintendent the successful candidate will primarily control all central communications and data management for the open pit mine area of the Greenbushes Operation and operate the mine's fleet management system. The role is responsible for complying with the open pit mine planning process to ensure mine haulage is correctly and efficiently dispatched, and to ensure safety standards, regulations, and best practice mining criteria are met and maintained. The candidate will also support the Mine Technical Services team members as required. This is a permanent full‐time position working an attractive 7:7 continuous shift roster.
Responsibilities
* Operate the mine's fleet management system and correctly and efficiently dispatch mining equipment;
* Work closely with mine production engineers and mining contractors to achieve the material movements according to the shift plan;
* Monitor the Mine Services Area automated systems and help coordinate the maintenance and operation of the systems;
* Ensure all information is collected, inputted and communicated in an accurate and timely manner;
* Assist with projects related to the monitoring and automation of the mine processes;
* Undertake and manage mining production related projects;
* Participate in reliability process improvements as appropriate;
* Propose cost initiatives to save waste, consumables, rework, energy and error.
About the Candidate
* Minimum 12 months experience with surface mining operations;
* Experience working in a mine control room environment;
* Literacy with spreadsheets, databases, and word processing applications;
* Experience creating and maintaining information dashboard applications e.g. Power BI, Tableau;
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem‐solving skills.
