Job Summary:
Resilience Community Care are seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will provide personalised care and support to individuals with varying disabilities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and empowerment.
As a Support Worker, you may support clients with:
* Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
* Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
* Social support/transportation: social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
* Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment including standing or walking frames, wheelchairs, manual or electric hoists, sliding sheets or moving boards, hearing aids and other physical aids
* Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs
* Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
Resilience Community Care operate 24/7 which includes shift work (sleepovers, weekends, and awake shifts).
What we're looking for:
* Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities
* A genuine passion for supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities.
* Relevant qualifications in disability support, healthcare, or a related field are desirable.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Ability to use and access a smart phone for clocking in/out and shift notes.
Requirements
* Minimum Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services (desirable)
* Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
* Current Working with Children Check
* Current and satisfactory Yellow Card
* Current Australian Driver's License
* Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance is a must)
* Smartphone with internet access
* Experience in working with Mental Health (desirable)
* The Right to Work in Australia (Mandatory)
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $32.88 – $43.23 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 38 per week
