Community Outreach Specialist
We are seeking a Community Outreach Specialist to join our team in promoting gambling help services and supporting individuals impacted by problem gambling.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships with community organisations, gaming venues, and other stakeholders to raise awareness about the Gambling Help Service and establish referral pathways for clients.
A key aspect of this role is providing information sessions within the community and other agencies, as well as working closely with Indigenous communities to develop effective service delivery models.
Additionally, the Community Outreach Specialist will maintain up-to-date knowledge on relevant legislation and best practice frameworks, and contribute to program and service planning, review, monitoring, and evaluation activities.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience working with addiction and hold a current Queensland Blue Card and NDIS workers Screening clearance. You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaise with community organisations and gaming venues to promote the Gambling Help Service and establish referral pathways to meet client needs.
