Senior Policy Officer
The Senior Policy Officer plays a pivotal role in shaping Queensland's Environmental Offsets Framework, focusing on enhancing operational delivery of conservation outcomes and promoting ecologically sustainable development. They will also provide expert policy advice and support to industry, the community, and internal stakeholders on the Environmental Offsets Policy and legislative frameworks.
* Contributes to the development and implementation of projects and strategies related to Queensland's environmental offsets framework.
* Analyses and interprets legislation, policy, and other significant issues affecting the department and its stakeholders.
* Undertakes research and prepares policy content, operational policy, and support materials, written reports, submissions, correspondence, and briefing materials, as well as complex and high-level documents.
