Work for a reputable leader in the building and construction industry. Alex Fraser is looking for a high-energy Customer Service and Dispatch Agent to support our growing business selling recycled products from our Victorian and Queensland facilities. The role involves handling customer calls and allocating aggregate and roadbase materials.
Based in Derrimut, this is a 12-month full-time fixed-term contract covering maternity leave.
In your new role, you will:
Work in a team of 8 across Melbourne and Brisbane, using software to coordinate the dispatch of recycled concrete, aggregates and road base products; collaborate with Transport and Logistics and Key Account Managers; confirm orders, respond to general enquiries, and allocate trucks to the schedule.
Shift hours are rotating between 6:30 am–4:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Your roster will also include up to two half‐day Saturdays per month, paid in addition to salary.
Manage incoming customer calls from Victorian and Queensland customers and coordinate up to 50 trucks, ensuring efficient customer, driver and logistical solutions.
Requirements
* Previous experience in the construction industry preferred but not essential.
* Ability to develop product/industry knowledge quickly.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Strong presentation, negotiating and influencing skills.
* Positive, resilient attitude with a solution‐oriented mindset.
* Capability to work well under pressure.
* High level Microsoft (Excel, Outlook) and numeracy skills; telephone‐based logistics experience advantageous.
